Mission Statement

Bartlett House addresses homeless issues by providing for emergency food, shelter and medical referrals first, then one-to-one comprehensive case management to break the cycle of homelessness. We are committed to providing shelter that meets a persons basic needs in an atmosphere where people are treated with dignity and respect.

What is the Bartlett House?

Bartlett House operates a homeless shelter with a volunteer Board of Directors. A full-time Executive Director oversees functions and development, with the assistance of the Service Coordinator, the Program Manager, the Resource Manager and the Office Manager. The Case Managers and numerous shelter workers provide direct services. In addition, we are fortunate that we are able to utilize the services of West Virginia University interns and Work Study Students.
