Bob Graham, owner of BG Entertainment, LLC contacted the Bartlett House to help us with their fundraising campaign. His company has released the debut single titled "Now or Never" recorded by "5 Guys Who Care" on June 1, 2011. It is available on the following music download websites: Itunes, Amazon and Napster. He is selling this song for .99 cents per download worldwide and he is also selling the hard copy version for $2.99 with free shipping the United States. He wants to give our organization (and 99 other organizations nationwide) a financial donation from all sales. His campaign is running from June 1st, 2011 until November 10th, 2011 and his goal is to raise 2.5 million dollars to be divided equally between all 100 organizations he would like to help from this campaign. If he reaches his goal, The Bartlett House will receive a $25,000 donation from his company. Please visit his website by clicking on the flyer below and purchase a copy of the song "Now or Never."

This story all started in 2008 when I had a vision to make a change in the lives of those who go everyday without enough food to eat or a warm place to lay their heads at night. My name is Bob Graham and I want to make a difference in America. Over the past few years, I have organized several music events with my band (I am a musician as well) to raise money for local homeless shelters and food banks in my home state of Rhode Island. My events have had some success and I was able to raise money money for those in need in my state. In 2010, I started my own company, BG Entertainment, LLC, The Entertainment Company that Cares. My vision is to build my new company as the first entertaiment company focused on stopping hunger and homelessness in America. Taking on this new project and working a full time job driving a tractor trailer truck does not leave me much time for playing music anymore. After some serious thinking, I realized thay my music playing days were coming to an end. If I wanted to succeed at my new venture and before I put my drums in their cases, I need to do something I never did before. I wrote my first original song titled "Now or Never." To my surprise, the lyrics came to me as if they were always there, just waiting to be written. They say a great song comes from something you are passionate about and I am very passionate about this cause.

This matter hits close to home as I lost someone in my life who at one point was homeless and eventually passed away alone. I dedicate this song to him and I know he would want me to release this new song to help those in need in America. After completing the lyrics to my new song, I recruited some local musicians to help me make my dream of helping others become a reality. I am launching a nationwide campaign titled "We Need To Stand Together 2011" and I am going to release my song "Now or Never" worldwide and donate the proceeds from the sales of this geat song to 50 food banks and 50 homeless shelters across America. I truly believe in my heart that I can make a difference in the lives of those in need. I also realize that I won't stop this ongoing epidemic on my own, but if we can somehow find a way to work together, we just might slow the hunger and homeless situation in America from growing further. If anything comes from this story, I hope it makes you stop and think for a minute that there are Americans that need our help. Even if it is volunteering at your local shelter or donating some canned foods or clothing or maybe even dowloading my new song so we can provide financial help for shelters so they can keep their doors open so those that are in need can count on help being there for them when times are difficult. This is my story, ONE MAN, ONE MISSION, 50 STATES. I do hope this story reaches as many people as possible to let them know I am trying to make a difference and sincerely hope I can make a difference in someone's life that you may know in your state.

About Us

Bartlett House, Inc. was founded in 1985 as a nonprofit organization to meet the needs of the homeless population in Monongalia County, West Virginia and surrounding areas. Since 1990, Bartlett House has been housed at 1110 University Avenue in Morgantown, WV - open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The shelter can house up to 72 men, women and children.

In West Virginia the problem of homelessness has become more obvious in recent years. There is no easy way to prdict who will be next. Experience has shown us that there are two basic types of homelessness: Crisis Poverty and Chronic Homelessness. Many factors may have contributed not only to making these persons homeless. Major personal crisis, unemployment, lack of affordable housing - but also to creating barriers to alleviating the situation. Mental illness, substance abuse, chronic disability. Regardless of the reason, the key is to provide quick and appropriate intervention that deals with both a person's basic emergency needs, as well as long-term isses - to start them on their journey to self-sufficiency and independence!
