GENERAL VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering at Bartlett House is very easy. Just call 304-292-0101 or come in and talk to our Volunteer Coordinator John Lewis. The Volunteer Coordinator is at the shelter from 9am-5pm. There is always something that needs done. If you feel you have a unique idea for your volunteer time, we would love to hear it.
FUND RAISING
Like other non-profits, the Bartlett House programs are funded through grants and the generous support of the community. If you have an idea for a fundraiser or would like to help with a fund raising effort, we welcome your participation. Please contact Doris Pirlo at 304-292-0101 or email to dpirlo@bartletthouse.org In the past we have had groups do bake sales, car washes, bucket brigades, concerts, dinners, cash bashes, silent auctions, running races, organizational collections and many other fund raising endeavors. These efforts are often greatly rewarding and fun for the participants. This is a great way for student organizations, civic groups, church organizations, and businesses to employ the power of team work.

Laundry
Bartlett House generates three to five loads of laundry per day (mostly bedding & towels). Having volunteers to complete this task is a great help!

This year’s event once again serves as the kick off to United Way's 2012 Campaign. Bartlett House was fortunate to have 5 volunteers. Lauren Bakos and Charlotte Martin spent their time with us by laying carpet squares in the children's room.

Vicky Gallaher, Joe Huffman and Krista Stone organized our food pantry.

The clients, staff and Board of Directors of the Bartlett House thank you all very much for your effort and time!
I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve."

John Lewis, Volunteer Coordinator
Bartlett House is able to provide such quality homeless services due to the generosity of resources and time that is given by the local community. From those who donate money and goods, to those who serve meals and share their hobbies and talents. For the homeless, a shelter can be as little as a place to sleep out of the rain or as much as a step toward self-sufficiency.
Volunteer opportunities are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For more information on how to donate time and/or money, call the Volunteer Coordinator at 304-292-0101 or email him at jlewis@bartletthouse.org.

Students at Easton Elementary School were very generous and collected food and personal hygiene items for the clients at The Bartlett House. We want to personally thank each and every student for their efforts in helping the homeless.
Thank you goes out to Residential Education-Eric O'Hara for their generous donation!
